INTIMACY ARCHITECT
To desire. To feel desired. To experience pleasure. To look forward to seeing each other — even after years together.
To have someone you can talk to about what you want. To stay curious about each other. To discover more in yourself, in sex and in your relationships.
I'm Ilan Li. I help men, women and couples build an intimate life that fits them: understand their desires, develop sexual skills, make choices about relationships and learn the skills of intimacy. You can come with a difficulty. You can come with curiosity and a desire for more.

“I want more confidence in sex. To feel more and understand the woman I’m with.” Take initiative. Notice her responses and talk about what you both enjoy. Explore with curiosity, attention and the freedom to be yourself. “I meet people. The connection I want still isn’t there.” There is attraction, but then the same pattern repeats. You want to understand who you choose, what you expect and how to talk about it before you become deeply involved. “After divorce, a move or a long break, I want to begin again.” Meet people. Flirt. Feel mutual interest. Make room for dating and relationships in the life you actually live, and understand what you want now.
“I know how to be desired. I want to understand what I desire.” Notice your own desire. Choose who you want and how quickly you get closer. Give your pleasure the attention you have learned to give someone else’s. “I want more pleasure — and more freedom to talk about it.” Ask for a different touch. Suggest something you have wanted for a while. Be more open with your partner while keeping the warmth between you. “Strong attraction keeps leading me into relationships that don’t fit.” You want to tell chemistry, mutual interest and compatibility apart. Notice how you are treated and make choices that fit the life you want.
“We love each other. We want to feel like lovers again.” Make room for flirting, touch and anticipation. Give desire time and attention alongside everything else you share. “We’re good together. We’re curious about what else is possible.” More pleasure, play and discovery. A conversation about fantasies and desires where both of you have a voice and a choice. “One of us wants sex more often. The other increasingly feels pressured.” Understand the differences in desire between you. Learn to express interest, say no and talk about intimacy without the conversation becoming another source of hurt.
“I’m well past eighteen. I still don’t know how to begin.” Start with the experience you have today. Ask basic questions, understand your expectations and move at your own pace. “I’m comfortable messaging. In person, I lose my confidence.” How do you show interest? How do you know if it is mutual? How do you talk about intimacy and boundaries when starting the conversation already feels difficult? “I want my first experience to be my own choice.” Understand what you want, what you feel ready for and what you still need to know. Prepare to talk about consent, protection and comfort, with the freedom to change your mind at any point.
SOME DESIRES ARE HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS.
A fantasy you have never discussed. A part of yourself you usually keep hidden. A question that feels too basic, too personal or too unexpected.
We can talk about that too.
I will listen openly, without rushing to conclusions. We can explore what draws you to it, what you want to keep as a fantasy and what you might want to discuss with a partner.
You choose what to share and how far to go. You can begin with: “This is difficult for me to talk about.”
We study for our careers. We learn to lead and manage. We train our bodies. We invest time and money in what matters to us.
Who taught us intimacy?
Experience, films, porn, advice from friends. Some of it helps. Some of it leaves us with questions we never quite dare to ask.
How do you understand your own desire? Talk about sex? Give and receive pleasure? Build a relationship you want to be in?
Master of Intimacy Administration.
My own twist on the MBA — a metaphor for learning with structure, practice and personal feedback.
You learn to understand yourself, notice more, speak more clearly and act with greater confidence. To develop mastery in your own intimate life.
CORE | HEALTH | IMAGE | RELATIONSHIPS | INTIMACY
You come with a particular desire or question. We look at what shapes it.
Core. What you want. The values, habits and expectations behind your choices. Where you express yourself freely and where you keep playing a familiar role.
Health. Energy, sleep, stress, your body and physical comfort. We take these into account; questions of diagnosis and treatment belong with a doctor.
Image. How you look, move, speak and flirt. How you show interest and experience your own attractiveness.
Relationships. Where you meet people, who you choose and how you recognise mutual interest. The arrangements that suit you: a partnership, marriage, an open relationship or sex without a relationship, when everyone understands and freely agrees.
Intimacy. Desire, arousal, pleasure, touch, fantasies, sexual skills and communication. How you get to know yourself and the person beside you.
We focus on the areas that matter to your situation. Sometimes one conversation makes a difference. Sometimes you need to learn a skill or make room for a relationship in your life.
Understand your situation.
What do you want? What happens now? What have you tried? We look at specific situations in your life and decide what to focus on.
We explore sexuality and pleasure. Practise noticing your own responses, asking about a partner’s desires and expressing interest and boundaries. Prepare and rehearse important conversations. Choose exercises for you to do independently or together as a couple.
You try the agreed steps in your own life. At a follow-up session, we discuss what happened, what was difficult and what to adjust. We work at a pace that fits your situation.
After the initial review, you receive a short written map: your question, what shapes the situation, possible directions for the work and your first steps.
For example, you might say: “We want more variety.”
First, we explore what that means to each of you: more time together, a different touch, space to take initiative or a conversation about a fantasy. Then we prepare a way to discuss your desires and choose something you both want. Your experience becomes the starting point for the next session.
PERSONAL WORK | LEARNING | PRACTICE
I care about making room for what you look forward to: a meeting, a glance, a touch, the person beside you.
I created IA because I believe we can learn about intimacy with the same commitment we bring to other important areas of life — and enjoy the learning itself.
My background includes individual instruction, in-person seminars, online learning and independent study. The subjects I have studied include sexual skills and female pleasure, breath, voice, body awareness and communication between partners. Consent and boundaries guide how I apply that knowledge.
My legal education and my experience in management and business help me see connections, choices and their consequences. Marriage, fatherhood and life in different countries add a personal perspective.
You can be serious with me. You can laugh. You can say “I don’t know” and start there.
I ask direct questions, listen closely and notice contradictions. We will look for decisions and actions that fit your life and your desires.
You work with me personally.
YOUR FIRST SESSION
We begin with one question that matters to you now. During the session, we explore your situation, decide what needs attention and prepare a specific next step: a conversation, an exercise, a decision or a change in everyday life.
The first engagement includes the session and a short written map. Further work may include learning, practice and reviewing your experience. We agree on that separately.
Write a few sentences about your situation and what you would like. You can come on your own or with your partner.
I will tell you whether I can help with your question. Before booking, you receive the terms for the first engagement: format, duration, fee and when to expect your written map. You decide separately whether to continue.
IA provides private advisory and education for adults aged 18 and over. Sessions do not include sexual services or sexual contact with the consultant. Medical and psychotherapy needs require the appropriate professionals.
You may make your first inquiry under a pseudonym. Recording a session or contacting your partner or anyone else requires a separate agreement in advance.
Before we begin, you will know how your personal information will be handled and the limits of confidentiality. A general outline is enough for your first message. Please do not send intimate materials or other people’s private messages.
You don’t need the perfect words.
Start with your own.
